Hayden is finally coming into a new milestone . . . talking (better late than never i guess). Not that he is saying sentences or anything but he is finally starting to pick up on alot of the things we say and actually repeat them! It is super fun and cute and will hopefully reduce some unnecessary fits in the near future:)
His new/favorites are:
daddy (this is one of his favorites)
Where is it? (he sounds so cute when he says it) Today he pointed to a picture of Matt and said "where is it" ba ha ha i laughed so hard!
Momma (he only ever says this when he is crying
dinky (binkie), blankie, treat, fries (i know it's sad that this is one of his first words)
truck, car, keys, yadie (lady, which is my mom's dog),
stop it, don't, this
hey (he usually says hey to me and matt when either of us gets home from somewhere and the other day we were in the mall and the cashier said hi to him and he looked at her, smiled and said "hey!" little lady's man!)
the usuals like yeah, no, and yay.
He has also started being quite the little copy cat! He doesn't like it when the dogs fight so when they start he shakes his little finger at them and says "no! stop it!" (it makes me feel bad that i say that enough that he caught on to it!)
whenever i do something that he is watching he has to do it too. I was looking for his binkies at my mom's the other day and after i looked around/under anything he would fallow right behind and do the same thing. It makes for good entertainment especially with my little brother! The other day i was teaching him to pinch logan and it was hilarious! (bad example i know). He LOVES Logan! He would do everything with him but most of all he loves eating food from him. apparently Logan's food is better than everyone else's???
He has become super curious about everything! (more so than usual) He points to everything and says "this?" that's how he asks me what something is. The other day he was sitting on a blanket that has ducks all over it and he just sat and pointed to each one and said "this?" Today the things that he caught his interest were belly buttons and Matt's goatee. he would pull his shirt up and say "where is it?" and i would help him look at his belly button and he would point to it and say "this?" to make me tell him it was his belly button.
He is super great at the animal sounds he knows (puppy, horsie, cow, kitty) Everyone's favorite to here him say is meow. it's pretty hilarious! He also does the dinosaur sound when he sees the dinosaur on toy story.
I know compared to some kids his age he still doesn't say much but at least we're getting there! He still prefers to tell me what he wants by either pulling my hand to something or leaning in the direction he wants to go. (he really is good at steering you in his desired direction!) I have felt so bad the last week because i've been busy with some projects that i've been working and haven't had as much time to play with him and apparently with other day he had had enough. HE came and got me in the kitchen grabbed both my hands and pulled me over to the couch and pushed me to sit down. Then he climbed on my lap to sit with me. He wouldn't do anything without me for the rest of that day and then that weekend he was the biggest momma's boy ever! that never happens!
We've really enjoyed this stage of Hayden's life and watching him grow and change so much! He is such a blessing and a joy to us!
