Hayden is 18 months! He has grown up so much and looks like such a big boy now. He has the funniest personality and for the most part he is a blast. He has definitely mastered fit throwing when he doesn't get what he wants though! He loves playing with kids especially older ones and he can run faster than any baby I have ever seen!
Some of his favorites are. . .
Favorite song-anything with a fast beat so he can get his groove on
Favorite foods- peas, carrots, corn (he thinks they are candy), anything with syrup, fries (he loves to dip them in fry sauce and ketchup)
Favorite movie- Toy story. it's the only movie he will sit and watch for longer than 30 seconds
Favorite toy- any kind of car or truck. we take them everywhere and he thinks he can never have enough
He also loves swimming (he will even put his head under water), playing with older kids, boating, throwing the cushions off the couch, dogs, anything outside, the riding lawn mower, when me and Matt hug (he will come sit right with us and smile at us if we are hugging) drinking out of Matt's mug through a straw, talking on the phone (he will pick it up, open it, and say ello and then he walks around and jabbers and then laughs like whoever he is talking to told him a joke or something! so funny!) and lot more that i can't think of right now.
He dislikes having to sit still for anything (this complicates changing diapers, riding in the car, and church), contention (he hates it when the dogs fight even! and when Matt tickles me and i scream he freaks out because he thinks we are fighting), sharing (we're working on it, but he's still too young to understand).
He is now saying a few more words but these are the ones i can think of right now. . . diddy (daddy), dinky (binky), mama, please, ank you (thank you), no, yes, yeah (he says yeah for everything), woof woof, yadie (lady), Bella, ello (hello), bye, hey and stop it. He's not a big talker and only says things when he wants to but he definitely knows how to get his point across! I'm surprised he is not saying more because he understands sooo much. I will tell him to get his shoes and he will go in his room, get in his drawer and bring me his shoes to put on and we have to be really carefull about saying the "O" word (outside) if he hears it he HAS to go outside.
He is doing awesome at walking up and down stairs with minimal help, can open pretty much any door (scary!), climbs on EVERYTHING, is awesome at hiding things (we still haven't found Matt's wedding ring), gives high five's and knuckles (he uses his wrist and used to use his elbow, he pumps his left arm up and down when he runs and is still not great at watching where he is going when he runs (thus the million forehead bruises)
Height: 34.75 in - 94th%
Weight: 23 lbs - 12th % Yay! he's been in the 3rd% for quite a while
Just a cute video
All in all he is doing great! We couldn't ask for a healthier more energetic little guy and we love him sooooo much!
